What we have been up to.

So after a very busy winter, we are getting back in the swing of things here at Round Ponds. We are planning all sorts for the coming season but first of all I thought I'd share how we spent the winter months.

Nov & Dec;

We had a very busy end to the season getting things ready to close down for winter. From shutting down the cabin to doing our end of year checks, we never found ourselves with nothing to do.

Towards the end of November both myself (Joey) and Sally picked up some work selling Xmas trees for the Forestry commission at Delamere forest. It got us both in the Christmas spirit, and we met some great people along the way as well.

Following Christmas we spent the New Year in the Scottish borders in a small town called Melrose. We had a fun week of walking and biking with the highlights being the bagpiper at the top of the Eildon Hills on New Years day and the very fun red route at the Glentress trail centre.

Jan & Feb;

We started the New Year no less busy than we finished the last. Working with Challenge Course Consultancy we helped build a climbing tower at the Min-Y-Don centre which is based in Arthog North Wales. Learning many new skills along the way, and meeting some more great people we finished the tower in Wales and moved on the next job. For most of February we have been taking down and re-building a challenge course for Topstones Girl guiding camp in Leicestershire. With a good few laughs and a lot of tea making we are in the final stages of the build and are looking forward to the next challenge ahead.

March and beyond;

We have a few more weeks working away from home but are excited by the jobs ahead all the same. With a trip to Stowes school to do a course inspection and maintenance to a Jacobs ladder, and the next big job up in Burnley you may be wondering when we will be re-opening our gates. We will be open for action starting the Easter holidays with big plans for the coming year.
