DAY CAMPS

Our day camps are perfect for those looking for a one day trip packed with exciting activities, tailored to your groups’ specific aims and objectives. We build the day around you to give an individual experience that will make sure everyone that takes part get the most out of the activities.

We constantly keep ourselves up to date with the relevant courses, and development. We encourage Team Building and leadership skills for children right through to young adults. Combining fun and personal development in an outdoor environment, watch children flourish in challenging new surroundings and young adults gain social development whilst they learn new skills in a practical environment. All of the activities we offer can be tailored to the national curriculum, meaning you can get outside the classroom learning into your topics.

All are day camps run on an exclusive booking basis, so you will have the centre to yourselves.

During your booking process we will ask you for your aims, objectives, and what you would like your group to get out of their day. Whether this being building communication and team work skills, or a day to blow off steam and have some fun. Your aims and objectives help us give you the best day possible.

Raft building is one of most popular sessions. Working as a team, your team members must design and build a working raft with the equipment provided and a little help from our instructor. Once the raft has had a brief mot, to test whether its sea worthy, it is on to the pond for fun and games. All participants wear PPE which includes helmet, and buoyancy aid. Non- swimmers are welcome but Round Ponds Adventure must be notified prior to visit.

The Vertical Challenge is a 35ft climb up 4 different elements. They start on 2 rungs of Jacobs’ ladder, followed by the giant whiskey barrels which wobble, spin and move. The 3rd element is a military style cargo net, finishing with a rope climb to stand on the top beam. All our high activities are challenge by choice and each participant is encouraged to push themselves within a safe environment.

The ships ladder is a 35ft scramble up a ladder more at home on a pirate ship than up a tree. Setting out as a team of two, they must work together to ascend the ladder whilst it wobbles and moves during their climb. This activity is great for building communication and teamwork skills for children, as to be successful they need to achieve their target as a team. All our high activities are challenge by choice and each participant is encouraged to push themselves within a safe environment.

Cryptic Woodland activities are designed to challenge the mind, putting your students to the test with our games and challenges designed to encourage reasoning skills, communication, logical thinking and confidence. We have a number of both mental and physical challenges to get their imaginations flowing and leave them with a big smile on their face.
